Following are news items related to New Hartford Schools - Antolini School, Bakerville School and New Hartford Elementary - which we hope will be of interest to parents with children in our elementary schools.
Interim Director of Student Services Hired
Mrs. Constance Horvath has been hired as an interim Director of Student Services, replacing Dr. Laurie Singer who resigned as Director of Student Services effective June 30, after her position was cut from a full-time position to a .8 position; see our August 4 News Update …NH Board of Ed Interviews…
In a conversation with our reporter, Dr. Philip O’Reilly said that Connie Horvath was hired with the help of CREC (Capital Region Education Council) for a 3-month period, with the possibility of extending that contract as necessary. Asked about the New Hartford Schools Board of Education Special Meeting held on August 4 when the board had interviewed candidates for the open position, Philip confirmed that none of the candidates that had been interviewed at that meeting had been selected for the position. The district is still accepting applications for that position, which is posted in the Employment section of the New Hartford Schools website.

The New Hartford Schools calendar was revised on August 19 after being approved by the Board of Education on August 18. You can access this revised calendar in several different formats:

- As a flyer posted in our Community Bulletin Board, where it will be available through the end of the school year.
School Bus Routes And Schedules
School bus routes and schedules for New Hartford Schools, as well as Northwestern Regional # 7, are available on the Bus Routes and Schedules section of the Dattco website, where you may access the bus schedule that applies for your specific area.
PTO Announcement For The New School Year
The New Hartford Schools Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) emailed us the following announcement for this News Update:
“The New Hartford PTO’s first meeting of the year will be held Monday, September 14 at 6:00 pm at Ann Antolini School in the multipurpose room. New changes this year include changing the meeting time to 6:00 pm instead of 7:00 pm, and waiving the membership fee. All parents and teachers are considered members of the NH PTO. Please come join us for our first meeting and visit our website at www.newhtfd.org and click on PTO!
