With so much wonderful art surrounding us in New Hartford, it’s only natural to think of giving the gift of art to someone special. Following is a simple way for you to be able to do just that:
Take the Art Walk
Members of the New Hartford Art League are displaying some of their works in businesses in New Hartford Center. Park downtown and take the Art Walk:

Here is a key to the artists and the business locations where their work is being displayed:
- 1 and 2: Mary Mattheis’ work on display at Peddlers’ Junction;
- 3 and 4: Sharon Farber’s work on display at Artistic Dental Care;
- 5: Kay Wall’s work on display at New Hartford Wine and Spirit;
- 6: Lucille Delaney’s work on display at Passiflora;
- 7 and 8: Gloria Goodwell’s work on display at Sally Fitzpatrick, Optometrist;
- 9 and 10: Art League members’ work on display at Town Hall.

Pet portrait by Wesley Allen Fox
The Town Hall is displaying a large number of the artists’ works, as can be seen from figure #10. Please be sure to visit the Town Hall during its regular business hours. Each of the art pieces are tagged with their price and the way to contact the artist. The businesses that are displaying the artists’ work do not share in the proceeds of the sales.
Fox Paw At Little Women’s Bake Shop
If you are interested in giving a portrait of a favorite pet as a gift you may want to check out the work of Wesley Allen Fox which is on display at Little Women’s Bake Shop, located almost directly opposite the Town Hall on the way to the post office. As you can see from the photo, Wesley is an accomplished animal portraitist; he also paints portraits of people and their homes. For more information on his work please stop by Little Women’s Bake Shop or visit his website WAFoxPaw Portrait Art Workshop.
