Community Calendar: Wednesday, Nov. 25

Apologies to those who received an emailed version of this Community Calendar early this morning. It was mailed out before it was completed ~ hence some of the discrepancies. Below are the correct calendar items.

H1N1 (Swine Flu) Clinic Update: Two clinics have been scheduled for next week. For more information on these clinics see our November 23 News Update: H1N1 Clinics Scheduled for Next Week… Also visit the Farmington Valley Health District’s H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccine (Swine Flu) Information webpage. The hotline number is: 860-269-6214, open form 9:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 25. The Hotline will not be manned the the rest of the week.

Following are the Community Calendar listings for today in New Hartford, CT:

Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009:

  • CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING RECESS: New Hartford Public Schools and Northwestern Regional #7 School: Schools will be back in session on Monday November 30.
  • CLOSED Today: The Bakeville Library. No afternoon hours as regularly scheduled. The Library will reopen on Saturday, November 28, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • New Hartford Senior Center activities: Fitness: at 9:00 a.m. ($2.50 suggested donation per person, per class, includes a fitness card which is stamped for every class attended). The Senior Center will reopen on Monday, November 30.
  • CANCELLED: Children’s Story Time at the Beekley Library: Sorry, no story time when school is closed!
  • CLOSING at12:00 p.m.: New Hartford Town Hall. Municipal offices will be open again for business on Monday, November 30.
  • CLOSING at 1:00 p.m.: The Beekley Library. The Library will reopen on Saturday, November 28, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • CANCELLED: Wednesday Night Drop-In Pick-Up Co-Ed Volleyball: No drop-in volleyball when school is closed!

Said Caroleene Beaman who was recently hired by Tom Briggs to manage the rental of the old Waring building. She then went on to talk about some of her ideas about scheduling events that would enhance our community. Good things are brewing over at the Waring building ~ we’re looking forward to reporting on them as they happen…
