  • Clean-up of the baseball fields at Browns Corner: at 9:00 a.m. Volunteer for about one hour. Take along ladders, rakes, and tools to remove the scoreboards!

Our editor, Maria Moore, said to Emily Leibin, a young architecture student in New York City who is researching the life and architecture of Elroy Webber, who retired to New Hartford and lived in town from the ’80s until 2001. If you have any special memories of the older gentleman who, dressed in his boating shirt and white hat, walked every day from his home on Church Street (North) to Black Bridge and back, please share them with our editor so that she may pass them along to Emily this afternoon when Emily is making a special trip to New Hartford to learn more about the curmudgeonly gentleman with a soft spot for the ladies. Photos of Elroy would be greatly appreciated ~ or even a copy of that video that was taken at Elroy’s birthday party for his 90th birthday…
