‘Walk 27′ Event Set For Friday Morning In Peoples State Forest

A local “Walk 27” event to honor the Newtown shooting victims will be held today, Friday morning, beginning at 9:15.  This from the Town of Barkhamsted website:

A Global Event with our local community members.
To remember the beautiful souls who were lost during the Sandy Hook tragedy.
To heal the hearts and lend support to all who felt loss from the horrific event.
We will be walking for twenty-seven minutes to shed light for all of the victims
whose lives were taken.
We will be meeting under the pavilion at People’s State Forest in Barkhamsted
Connecticut at 9:15 a.m. on Dec. 2l st, 20l2
The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m.
We will walk for 27 minutes and at 9:57 we will have bubbles and balloons that we
will set free to reach for the heavens to all the beautiful angels.
It is asked that we wear green and white as those are the Sandy Hook School
colors.
We are not asking for donations though a donation jar will be available for all
whom wish to help the grieving families with financial costs.

‘Walk 27′ was created by Kevin Vanover from Port St. Lucie, Fl.  Kevin has information about ‘Walk 27′ on his Facebook page.  The event has been taken up by communities all over the world.
