Despite the rain that’s now falling and that’s forecast to continue for the next day or so, by Friday the sun will be shining and the farmers’ market will be in full swing on the Green at Chapin Park in Pine Meadow. This will be the case, even if in this week’s edition of the NH+ INDEPENDENT our calendar section has “Cancelled” before the farmers’ market info.
Our sincere apologies to the vendors and even more to their customers for the error. Last Friday’s market on September 28th, was cancelled due to the heavy rain forecast; but this week’s market on Friday, October 5th, will be up and running and our favorite vendors will be there with their wonderful produce, baked goods, crafts and other sundries.
And if everything works well, and we finish delivering copies of our weekly NH+ INDEPENDENT newspaper to the 5 local post offices in time, then the NHPlus Crew will also be at the market to shop, enjoy the music and catch up with our favorite vendors – right here in New Hartford.
The New Hartford Farmers’ Market takes place on the Green at Chapin Park in the Pine Meadow section of New Hartford from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday afternoons. For more information on our local Farmers’ Market visit the New Hartford Farmers’ Market Facebook page or contact Anita Barden at Barden Farm.
