The 17th Annual Litchfield Jazz Festival is taking place this weekend from this evening, August 10 through Sunday, August 12. The Festival, which has returned to its former location at the Goshen Fairgrounds, will be held rain or shine. Anyone who purchased a lawn ticket can upgrade can upgrade to the tent for $30 per person per day. Following are highlights of the three days:
Friday, August 10:

- 8:30 p.m.: Live Auction
- 9:30 p.m.: Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks
Saturday, August 11:
- 12:00 noon: Helen Sung Trio
- 1:45 p.m.: Sojourner Truth Project with Avery Sharpe
- 3:30 p.m.: Ambrose Akinmusire
- 5:15 p.m.: Salute to George Coleman with Gary Smulyan and Eric Alexander
- 7:00 p.m.: Benny Green Quartet
- 8:45 p.m.: Dirty Dozen Brass Band
Sunday, August 12:
- 12:00 noon: Grégoire Maret Quartet
- 1:30 p.m.: Donny McCaslin Group
- 3:30 p.m.: Hubert Laws Quartet
- 5:15 p.m.: Miguel Zenón Quartet
- 7:00 p.m.: Kevin Mahogany and Dave Stryker’s Kansas City Swing
