Ice Cream Social At Bakerville Library On Tuesday

The Bakerville Library will be hosting an Ice Cream Social to kick off its Summer Reading Program. The Social will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, June 19, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Children may sign up for the Summer Reading program at the Social and they may pick up the Journal in which to record the books they read. The children will receive prizes if they read a specified number of books during their summer off from school.

Paul Cryan, Master Photographer, At Work

Paul Cryan, a professional photographer who specializes in black and white portraits of children, has been taking photos of New Hartford’s children for as long as anyone can remember. Paul is also a long-time supporter of the Beekley Memorial Library.
One day a year, Paul uses his professional skills for the benefit of the library. Today, Monday, June 18, was that day and between 9 a.m. and 5:30 Paul was set up in the Children’s Library, busily taking photos of children. Following are images of Paul, Master Photographer, at work.
