A Pasta Supper is being held on Friday, June 22, to benefit Steve Joseph’s family. Steve, who worked for the town’s Highway Department, passed away on May 18 as a result of a tragic accident; see our May 18 update to our report Steve Joseph Has Passed Away Following Tree-Cutting Accident On Thursday.
The benefit supper is being sponsored by St. Anthony’s School in Winsted where Steve’s two young children are enrolled. The supper will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall on Oak Street, Winsted. A silent auction will also be held during the supper, with proceeds benefitting Steve’s family.
Tickets for the Pasta Supper are $10 for adults and donations in any amount will be accepted for children under 12. Tickets are available from Christine Hayward in the First Selectman’s office at Town Hall during regular business hours.
Outside of business hours, Jennifer Lajoie will be selling tickets at the Farmers’ Market on the Green in Pine Meadow tomorrow, Friday, June 8, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Jennifer will also have tickets available on Saturday, June 9, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Mustard’s Last Stand, her family’s hot dog stand, in the commercial center in New Hartford. If you would like to donate items for the Silent Auction, you may drop them off with Jennifer and she will deliver them to St. Anthony’s School for the June 22 benefit supper.
If you would like to make a memorial donation to the Joseph Family, you may send a check to: The Joseph Children’s Trust c/o Torrington Municipal & Teachers Federal Credit Union, 777 East Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790.
