Budget season is in full swing in New Hartford and we at NewHartfordPlus are making available the draft budgets discussed by each of the different Boards: Board of Selectmen, New Hartford Public Schools and Northwestern Regional # 7. Whenever possible, we are also making available a video of the meeting at which the draft budget was discussed.
New Hartford Schools Draft Budget, February 28, 2012

Below is the draft budget (Superintendent’s Third Draft) discussed by the New Hartford Schools Board of Ed at their February 28 meeting. The budget shows a 2.9% increase in the local schools’ budget for the upcoming 2012-2013 fiscal year. This is a decrease in the 3.9% total increase that had been projected in the last draft budget (dated January 17, 2012) that had been discussed at this Board’s previous meeting on February 8; to see a copy of the January 17 budget see our article First Look At 2012-2013 Budget: New Hartford Public Schools Board Of Ed.

The next meeting of the New Hartford Schools Board of Ed will be held this evening, March 6 at Town Hall. Check the schedule on the front doors of Town Hall to see whether the meeting is going to be held in the Sessions Conference Room or in the Senior Center.
